Born in Denmark, at age 2 she moved to America. At an early age she has been driven by the need to create. “My parents told me that as a child I was either drawing all over their nice furniture, singing or dancing” Her first intention was to be a visual artist. At the age of 18 she moved to Denver, Colorado.

There she was admitted at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. She attended the College for a year and a half, using music to inspire her visual art. While studying, her passion for music grew more and more. She borrowed her father’s acoustic guitar, purchased an old piano from the salvation army and started to write her own music. It was here she started to develop her own style within the contemporary pop/rock genre. Her sound quickly developed into a unique musical identity, that is uncompromised and refreshing sound, contrary to the standard sound of most rock/pop artists of today. In 2002 Miss Scarlette was admitted to The Alternative Rhythmic Conservatory Of Music in Copenhagen.
Four years later Miss Scarlette graduated with honors and a music degree.
She explains “My music allows me to catalyze my international heritages and upbringings into a catharsis of relief and observations of the human condition”.
Miss Scarlette is a unique singer/songwriter with a mindset that shares the cultures of Europe and America.
She has a genuine American accent, and a long list of various inspirations such as Led Zeppelin, Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, etc.In 2007 Miss Scarlette decided not to wait for the major record companies to discover her music anymore. Through her insatiable determination to succeed she discovered the qualities of doing it herself. She collected a band, booked a studio in Copenhagen, and started to record her own songs. The songs she recorded in 2005 were, without a doubt, the result of high quality and international potential. By writing and co-writing with several different musicians that year, she continued to develop her musical singer/writer talents. In 2008 the producer Michael Holmberg listened to her songs, and they immediately started to collaborate. Scarlette and Michael agreed to make an EP. Scarlette’s songs are recorded on the traditional analog equipment thus maintaining the essential elements of the music.
